Description
The air locker is a replacement differential designed for direct installation in place of your existing one. It can function either as a standard differential or as a 100% locked unit – for either the front or rear axle. When engaged, it locks both half-shafts and thereby transfers the driving force equally (50% : 50%) to both wheels for maximum traction. The locking mechanism is controlled by the driver via a button on the vehicle’s dashboard. The front lock may be activated when driving on slippery surfaces with reduced grip, and deactivated when on surfaces with good grip, to maintain optimal steering control. For safety reasons, the front lock cannot be used unless the rear lock is already activated.
 
What the kit includes
The kit contains everything necessary for the installation of the differential lock, along with instructions for the installation. It is recommended to install it at an authorised service centre.

How it works
Since the locker is activated using compressed air, a compressor or other source of pressurised air is required. The compressor is activated by the driver via a button on the dashboard. The pressure in the expansion tank is regulated and monitored, operating in the working range of about 5.9 bar to 6.9 bar. When the locker button is pressed, the pneumatic valve opens to allow compressed air to reach the differential via an air line.
